Audit-grade EdTech Analytics: How Does Your School Measure Up?
Would you be shocked to learn that at one 1:1 school, administrators discovered 10% of students never used their school-issued laptops? The school sure was. They didn't even know about their critical usage gap until they started tracking their digital resources. What's even more shocking is the vast majority of schools have no system in place to track the usage of their edtech assets. You wouldn't drive a car without a speedometer - why would you spend millions on laptops and other edtech devices without a way to measure their effectiveness? Join the president and CEO of LabStats, Stephen Loosli, as he walks you through case studies of how analytics from EduTrends have helped district technology leaders create the most equitable and efficient edtech ecosystems they can.

Being Brave Enough to Try!
Whether you are gracefully diving into the technology pool in your classroom or you've been traumatically pushed into the enormous digital sea, we could all use a little hand-holding, a good pep talk, or maybe even a life preserver thrown our way. As a digital immigrant, teaching technology natives can seem incredibly daunting. The last thing any teacher wants is to feel like the dumbest one in the room. We all want to succeed in our quest to integrate. But, honestly, it can be hard to muster up the courage to even test the technology waters. Come share in my journey of learning to swim in these often shark infested waters. Armed with nothing but desire, I jumped feet first, and guess what? I'm still afloat. Come see what my classroom is like and see the difference technology has made in my teaching. I have gone from no devices to 1:1. I have Flipped my instruction. I have tried numerous gizmos and gadgets, apps and attitudes. There are things I like and things I don't and so many things I still want to try. I am in no way a Michael Phelps of Technology (more of a Dory really). I am, however, Brave Enough To Try! msmooreelp4.weebly.com

Canvas: Portrait of a 'Flipped' Classroom
The concept of students reading, learning, and exploring ideas prior to attending the class lecture time is nothing new. The "flipped classroom" is all the rage in the education circles today, but does it work to improve educational outcomes? This session will demonstrate the use of Canvas as a medium for creating a learning environment wherein students preview content, meet pre-lecture objectives, formulate understanding of material, and provides feedback to the instructor before they come to the scheduled class. The presenter will demonstrate features of Canvas that instructors may use to begin teaching students, assessing understanding, and interpreting student needs before regular class.
